Jeanne Demmond Parkman

Jeanne Demmond Parkman passed away on August 11, 2013 at Candler Hospital after a long chronic illness. Born in Savannah, Georgia, Jeanne was the daughter of Edward Carson and Mary Baker Demmond. She attended the Pape School and graduated from Savannah High School. She was a long time employee of Sears Roebuck and Co.

She adored her three boys and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite past-times were reading, playing scrabble and watching the cooking show. Her sweet contagious smile will be missed by her many friends.

Jeanne was a very devoted mother to her three sons, Jay Barbara, Mike Mary, and David Pam Parkman and a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren, Sara, Shelby, Nick, Savannah, Madeline and Mitchell. She was also adored by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Carson and Bill Demmond; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Demmond Robertson and Mason Robertson.

There will be a graveside service at Bonaventure Cemetery on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10 a.m.
